By 6:00am, Chinedu was already on his way to work. He had left home early enough to beat the morning rush. His shirt was neatly ironed, his bag was packed, and he had even skipped breakfast because he did not want anything delaying him. But by 7:15am, his bus had barely moved. Another bus squeezed into the lane. A danfo stopped suddenly to pick up passengers. Motorcycles appeared from nowhere. Cars pushed into spaces that barely existed. Everyone seemed to be in a hurry, yet nobody was going anywhere. Chinedu looked at his watch again. 7:30am. Then 7:45am. The driver sighed and tapped the steering wheel impatiently.
