After a particularly exhausting day, a young woman returned home, dropped her bag beside the bed and sat quietly for several minutes. There were still unfinished tasks waiting, messages that needed replies and thoughts that refused to settle. Nothing seemed worth doing. She picked up her phone and played an old favourite song. One song became two, then three. Slowly, the silence in the room disappeared. She began humming, then smiling. The problems were still there. The unfinished work had not disappeared. Yet something about the atmosphere had changed. By the time the music stopped, she opened her laptop and returned to the work she had abandoned earlier. Nothing had changed around her.
