Have you ever wondered what skin type you got? Now let's say you keep trying different body cream just to get your best look but none seems to be giving you results. 

This can be quite disheartening that after spending almost a fortune to have a glowing skin, it's always in vain.

Numerous cosmetics products are made for general use. Common classes of skin most people know are fair, dark and chocolate. Besides these, body creams on the market shelves are used by all.

But it doesn't supposed to be so, because we all have different skin types.

This skin type has a balance quantity of oil, it's not too dry nor to oily. This is because the sebum production is normalized that is , the oil production in the sebaceous glands is normal. The forehead, chins and the nose are moderately oily. 

Oily skin

Oily skin is characterized with shinny and greasy appearance as a result of excessive production of oil by the sebaceous glands. No one ever chooses the kind of skin he or she wants to have. Oily skin type can be due to one's genetic make up and level of hormone secretion.  People with this skin type more often than none experience acne breakouts.

Dry skin 

"Oh no! Why does it look like I haven't applied any body cream?" If you have ever asked this question, it could be that you have dry skin type. Dry skins are skins which lack the adequate amount of moisture it should has.  Drying out, flakiness, roughness and toughness are all the features of dry skin type. Many a times it is caused by improper dieting, lifestyle (smoking and hot drinks), genetic makeup, climate and so much more. 

Sensitive skin

Does your skin itch and irritates you? Does it reacts to different weather conditions? Does it changes colour or form sores any time you change you cream, soap or environment? Then you skin type might be a sensitive one. Sensitive skin leaves you in pain most of the times. What worked for others may definitely not work for you. This skin type could sometimes be prone to certain allergic conditions. One's skin becomes sensitive due to the weakening of the skin's natural protective barrier hence the nerve ending on the skin gets stimulated and irritated easily. Now you know, stop getting mad at yourself. All you need to do is do a little research on the best skincare products that will suit your skin and stick to it.

Combination skin

This is a skin type that is both oil and dry. Here, the forehead and the nose known as the T-zone are oily while the chin is dry. So you see just as the name implied, there are two skin types together. However taking care of this skin type can cause a whole lots of stress, since you got to make it be in-between. 

Knowing your skin type is important if you really want to have a healthy supple and ageless skin that will keep glowing timelessly.
